He was selected in the Victorian Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist training program in Melbourne, and has worked in hospitals across Victoria.

Mr. Bassari completed his medical degree in 2004 at the University of Auckland. This was followed by specialist surgical training (FRACS) which he completed in 2012. He pursued further training in the fields of Bariatric/Metabolic and Upper Gastrointestinal surgery for the next 4 years.  This included 2 years through the competitive ANZGOSA training scheme.

Dr Beltran is a dental practitioner. She completed her undergraduate studies and her postgraduate training at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with a degree of first-class honours. During her master’s degree, she had training and experience in orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, and oral surgical procedures (impacted wisdom, dental implants, bone grafting). An opportunity to broaden her horizons and experience Australian lifestyle led Claudia to move to Australia where she successfully obtained her Australian Dental Board registration as a dental practitioner. Claudia continued to further her knowledge in dental Implants and All-on-4 surgery she has trained with the specialists in this field.

Paul is an Upper GI surgeon who has an interest in surgery of the stomach and esophagus, laparoscopic surgery, and weight loss surgery. Paul was trained in Melbourne and subsequently Cambridge, United Kingdom. In addition to his surgical training, Paul has completed a Ph.D. relating to upper GI surgical interventions. This research has led to major changes in the understanding of various Upper GI surgical operations, incorporated the development of several new diagnostic tests, and has resulted in improved patient education. He received doctoral thesis excellence awards from Monash University for this work.
