The Avenue Hospital together with some of Australia’s leading orthopaedic surgeons has developed a reputation for excellence in orthopaedic surgery including joint replacement and the management of sports injuries. It also has one of the longest established and most reputable Bariatric (Obesity) surgical programs in Australia.

The hospital is supported by 7 busy operating theatres, procedure room, day surgery centre, 18 bed cardiovascular unit (including 6 coronary care beds), High Dependency Unit and diagnostic imaging unit (including MRI, CT and Ultrasound).

Our medical staffs provides medical cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a Resident Medical Officer, Physician and Cardiologist roster in place to facilitate admission and care of acute medical and cardiac patients.

A state-of-the-art Cath Lab was opened in May 2007, providing a comprehensive range of services:

• Cardiac Investigations
• Coronary Angioplasty and Stenting
• Pacemaker Implantation
• Electrical investigations of the heart and treatment of arrhythmia’s such as AF; and
• Endovascular procedures

Comprehensive Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Pre-Admission and Discharge Planning services are also available onsite.
